Communication
Speaking to Different Thinkers
We communicate in the way that makes the most sense to our own brain. As a result, we can leave out the information other people need to understand, engage with, or act on what we are saying. This workshop introduces Gregor Jeffrey's Cognitive Sequence Method, a single order for communication that works across all four thinking preferences while you keep your own voice.
- Recognize how your own thinking preferences shape the way you communicate
- Identify where your natural patterns lose people who think differently
- Sequence what you say so it works across all four cognitive modes
- Communicate with more confidence and authenticity in presentations, meetings, and everyday conversations
- Communicate clearly through change and high-pressure situations
Mastering Executive Messaging
Executives and boards read a steady stream of updates, and the point is often buried under activity and data, or missing altogether. This workshop applies the Cognitive Sequence Method to the messages senior leaders read and hear: report summaries, status comments, briefing notes, and spoken answers to direct questions. Participants work with their own drafts, and each point is tested in the room.
- Distinguish a point from a topic or a set of data
- State your position first, so the reader sees your conclusion before the detail
- Tie every number to the budget, baseline, or plan it is measured against
- Write one idea per clause and remove activity narration
- Answer executive questions out loud with the same clarity as in writing
